Meet Zdenka "Zee" Wilcox
"I am an immigrant. In 1999, at just 21-years old, I arrived in the United States with nothing but a backpack on my shoulders, a small dictionary, and a heart full of determination. I didn’t speak English. There were no cell phones, no internet access to guide me—just a world of uncertainty and a belief that I could build something greater for myself. The road was full of challenges, struggles, and moments of fear, but I refused to let circumstances define me.
I was raised in deep poverty under a communist regime, where resilience meant surviving. Later, I endured the pain of domestic violence, fighting battles no woman should have to face. But again I refused to be a victim. I pushed forward, determined to not only survive but to create something meaningful.
Then, against all odds, I found love again. Brian and I are proof that life offers second chances—not just for love, but for healing, hope, and building something greater than ourselves.
